Historical Stream Conditions

05-03-2012: Heavy thunder storms moved through the area last night and dropped .45 of an inch of rain. Babb Creek is putting a lot of mud into Pine at this time. Since it is a small watershed, it should clear in two days. Pine above Babb is up, but not to dirty at this time, although it appears that it is raising again at this time. We will have to wait a while to see what happens with this second surge coming out of the canyon.

Fishing this last couple of days has been good, but most of the surface activity takes place late afternoon and into the evening. The March Browns are still on, but in fewer numbers than before.Gray Foxes and Slate Drakes are the dominate flies at this time. Some larger Sulphurs and some Olives are active, but light in numbers. It appears that we are moving into a period of unstable weather, hopefully not too much rain.
